Penerapan islamic agriculture : strategi mencapai ketahanan pangan di indonesia
The world is currently seeking various forms to farm sustainably, to overcome the
food problem as the high number of hunger, depletion of soil fertility to farm, the
amount of agricultural land is steadily decreasing, and others that engulf half of
the population of the world, including in Indonesia. Islamic Agriculture as a
solution for sustainable agriculture, without eroding natural resources or
harming the environment and without compromising the needs of future
generations to achieve food security. This is the agricultural system ever
implemented around 8 centuries ago during agricultural revolution in the Islamic
world 700-1100c. This study was conducted to provide the best strategies in the
implementation of Islamic Agriculture in Indonesia. Decisions making framework
is drawn by analyzing the network process (analytic network process-ANP).
Benefits, opportunities, costs, and risks (BOCR) from implementing this program
are decomposed, with reference to the literature. In the next stage, each element
of BOCR is weighted. The results showed that the opportunity of Islamic
Agriculture is more dominant than the benefit, cost and risk, which means the
application of Islamic Agriculture can provide benefits in the future. While the
five strategies, namely Globalisation crops, technical, irrigation methods, policy
advocates and land tenure systems, the most priority to be implemented in the
short term and the long term is technical.
