Analisis Efisiensi dan Produktivitas Pengelolaan Dana Wakaf di Indonesia: Pendekatan Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) dan Malmquist Productivity Index (MPI)
This study aims to analyze the performance of waqf institutions in Indonesia by measuring their efficiency and productivity. The research was conducted over five years using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approach and the Malmquist Productivity Index (MPI). The study data includes zakat institutions registered in Indonesia that manage waqf funds. The results show that the efficiency and productivity of waqf institutions in Indonesia fluctuated, with significant declines occurring during the Covid-19 pandemic from 2019 to 2021. The variable of waqf receipts was identified as the main source of inefficiency, while technological change was the primary factor affecting waqf productivity. The potential improvement calculations indicate that the waqf receipt variable needs to be encouraged and increased. This research is expected to provide a solid basis for better policy formulation, as well as identify development opportunities and potential improvements for waqf institutions in the future. With a better understanding of waqf institutions' productivity, it is hoped that strategic steps can be taken to advance this sector sustainably.
