Income On Personal Financial
Management Of Young Muslim Workers In Riau
: This study aims to analyze the effect of sharia financial
literacy, lifestyle, and income on the personal financial
management of young Muslim workers in Riau Province. The
background of this research is based on the relatively low
level of sharia financial literacy in Riau compared to the
national index, as well as the phenomenon of a consumptive
lifestyle and varying income levels, which potentially affect
personal financial management.
: This study employs a quantitative approach with a
purposive sampling method involving 150 respondents who
are young Muslim workers, unmarried, and residing in Riau
Province. Primary data were collected through a Likert
scale questionnaire and analyzed using the Partial Least
Square – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method.
: The results indicate that, partially, sharia financial literacy,
lifestyle, and income have a positive and significant effect on
personal financial management. The trust indicator is the
most dominant dimension in sharia financial literacy,
activities are the dominant indicator in lifestyle, and monthly
income is the dominant indicator in the income variable.
Simultaneously, the three independent variables have a
significant effect on personal financial management,
showing that the combination of sharia financial literacy,
lifestyle patterns, and income levels are important factors in
shaping effective financial behavior in accordance with
sharia principles.
