Purpose - This study aims to determine how the financial performance of Manufacturing
Companies in the Basic Industry Sector and Chemical Subsector. using the Altman ZScore, Springate, Zmijewski, and Monte Carlo methods for the covid-19 (2020) pandemic
period. This study uses secondary data at the CV Defanada Company in the 2018-2020
period using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The final results of this study
indicate that the financial performance analyzed by the Altman Z-Score, Springate,
Zmijewski, and Monte Carlo methods at the 2018-2020 CV Defanada Company is
classified as not experiencing financial difficulties or experiencing financial difficulties.
The results of the prediction of financial distress using the Altman Z-Score method there is
no financial distress every year and with the springate method there are no years that
experience financial distress even in 2020 or the pandemic era, and the zmijewski method
does not show any financial distress, and the last method or Monte Carlo by using several
experiments and being below the ratio so that in 2021 it is predicted that there will be no
financial difficulties.
