The Impact Of Market Structure On The Performance The Islamic Banking Industry In Indonesia
Goals: This study aims to analyse the impact of the market structure on the
performance of the Islamic banking industry in Indonesia, especially to prove
whether Indonesian Islamic banking profitability is proxied by efficiency
Methods: This study uses a quantitative approach which utilizes the panel data
method with the fixed-effect model of 13 Islamic banks that are registered on the
Financial Services Authority.
Results/Finding: The results of this study indicated that the Indonesian Islamic
banking industry is supported by the efficiency structural hypothesis, where its
profitability is affected by market share as the proxy of market structure with no
collusion.
